Driven by the values of transparency, dialogue-based interaction, and science-driven collaboration, the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) Strategic Partner Program (SPP) is designed to engage infection prevention industry members in thought leadership and leverage industry as a whole to advance patient safety. With the SPP, APIC publicly recognizes industry's valuable contribution to infection prevention through research and innovation, and the constructive partnership that exists between APIC and strategic partners toward elevating the profession and field of infection prevention and control.
By participating in the SPP, strategic partners support APIC in its mission in a visible and transparent way. The program advances the vision of health care without infection shared by APIC and its strategic partners. Participation by the strategic partners in the SPP signals their commitment to APIC, IPs, and the field of IPC.
The program supports the APIC mission in both transformational and practical ways. The fee structure of the SPP allows industry participants to allocate a part of the dues to a program of choice from options provided. Another portion of the fee is dedicated to the Certification Advancement Assistance program, which allows APIC to provide financial assistance to members seeking CIC® certification. APIC's ongoing commitment to underwrite or subsidize the cost of learning for members whenever possible is also supported by the SPP.
Strategic partners, in addition to their participation in the SPP, show their commitment to APIC in their support of the educational activities of APIC chapters across the country and throughout the year. They also actively support the APIC Annual Conference, including providing scholarships to facilitate member participation and live education courses.
APIC looks forward to featuring the strategic partners, and other industry, on Industry Perspectives, a new Web site. By showcasing quality information from industry, this Web site will help expand access to the information and research that accompany industry products and services.
