State-Led Antimicrobial Stewardship Initiatives: Linking Partners and Promoting Communication and Data Sharing

      BACKGROUND: With multiple associations and groups conducting antimicrobial stewardship activities throughout the state, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Surveillance for Healthcare-Associated and Resistant Pathogens (SHARP) Unit established a committee to link these partners together to ensure situational awareness and resource sharing. In doing so, two antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) initiatives were created.
