Background:Healthcare-associated infections are a significant threat to the safety of patients
seeking medical care. Surface disinfection interventions have been evaluated in hospitals
and workplaces but studies have not been published about other health care facilities
such as outpatient or urgent care facilities. The purpose of this study is to evaluate
a targeted surface disinfection intervention in an outpatient clinic with the use
of a microbial tracer.
