BACKGROUND: Protection against Ebola virus disease (EVD) requires complex personal protective
equipment (PPE). Healthcare workers (HCW) are considered at highest risk for self-contamination
when doffing contaminated PPE. We sought to assess viral self-contamination of skin
and clothes during EVD-level PPE doffing.
